He has millions of fans across the globe thanks to his unforgettable performances in reality shows Lock Upp 1 and Bigg Boss 17 as well as his acts as a stand-up comedian. Munawar, who always grabs attention whenever he’s spotted in public or attending events, is in the news today as he has shared an update about his health on social media.

The comedian – who often courts controversies, took to his Instagram stories on Friday evening and informed fans that he was unwell. He posted a picture of himself in a hospital, getting treatment via an IV drip. He captioned the post, “Lag gaye nazar. (I caught the evil eye.)” This photo got fans worried and they began trending ‘Get Well Soon Munawar’ on X (formerly Twitter).

Seeing the love and concern of his fans on social media, Munawar has now shared an update about his health on social media. Late Saturday, the Bigg Boss 17 winner took to his Instagram stories again and uploaded a selfie. He captioned the picture – that sees him lying down and smiling brightly, “Shukriya itne pyaare messages ke liye. Recovery ho rahi hai, dua karte raho. (Thank you for such lovely messages. I am recovering, keep praying).”

In other news, Munawar Faruqui recently made the headlines when the owner of a Mohammad Ali Road eatery pelted eggs and abused him. The incident took place during the Holy month of Ramazan. A video of the incident went viral online soon after it was uploaded. His close friend and BB17 co-contestant, Elvish Yadav even reacted to the incident and spoke out in his support.
